Tool Emporium is Part of the L & J Home Group, which opened in Plymouth in 2019 by myself (Lee) and my wife Jess, The company started with with L & J Home Removals & Storage and L & J Home Logistics. These two companies went from strength to strength over the past 7 years which allowed us to open L & J Home Handyman and PAT testing services.

Within the handyman sector it was clear that the majority of the retail market for tools (and lets be honest general goods) was highly overpriced, this is when Jess and I decided to see if we could bring down the prices of goods by starting Tool Emporium along the side of Home and Pet Emporium.

As Jess was born and grew up in Tavistock, we decided to open our first store there and decide if we should branch out to other locations dependant on how well the new store will be received.
